Dreams Macao
We are part of the horizontal construction of the Hotel Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana Resorts, in the Macao – Bávaro area.
We prepare all the land, making the earth movement, to be able to free the vertical construction, the buildings. This hotel has 500 suite-type rooms and an area of 9 villas.
Similarly, we prepare building platforms, network infrastructure, road preparation including loading areas, service streets, main entrance to the hotel, Motor lobby area and different parking lots.
We carry out various activities:
Excavations in rock of building platforms with strawberry, about 76,000 m3
Rock Excavations with Retro Hammer, 3,500 m3
Trenching with trencher for infrastructure, 1,200 m3
Placement of landfill in different areas, 40,000 m3
Production and placement of Asphalt in the hotel’s road and parking areas, about 17,000 m2.
Gonaïves-Ennery Highway
Currently a two-lane highway, it is just the beginning of a project 26 km long.
The project consists in the extension, reconstruction, and rehabilitation of the Route Nacional 1 highway, Gonaïves-Ennery stretch.
These tasks will allow commencing the placement of rain drainage on both sides of the road. Rehabilitation and construction of topography, land movements, and paving.
In this project, we also count with the assistance of GPS equipment, block production plants, aggregates, concrete, pre-made products, and asphalt.
Construction in Presa La Piña, Dajabón
With an investment that exceeds DOP$300 million, the government, through the National Hydraulic Systems Institute (INDRHI), restarted the construction were of La Piña’s dam.
According to the INDRHI’s director, Olgo Fernández, the dam will store over 1 million cubic meters and will benefit over 2,000 families directly.
On their side, producers and resident of this frontier province see the construction of this dam as an achievement since they understand that with it production and development of the area are ensured.
Olgo Fernández explained that during this stage there will be an investment of an estimated DOP$270 million through a contract with the company who won the tender of the dam itself.
Agricultural Development Project Azua II - Pueblo Viejo
This project is a solution plan using highly efficient irrigation with low water consumption following the international trend of high agricultural output with less water and soil usage.
This project considers the recovery of Azua I (16, 286 hectares), carrying out the design and infrastructure and equipment installations, optimizing the pre-existing investment, and the construction of the irrigation and drainage system in Azua II (7, 797 hectares), incorporating auxiliary projects, on-site roads, and electrical networks.
Based on this criteria, the project permits the rational use of the YSURA water channel and the complementary sources for the integral development of the entirety of the Azua Valley.
Currently, half of the products are of the project is flooded and the other half operating precariously with insufficient wells due to a lack of proper water direction, allowing the area’s industries and producers to expand their activities and, as a result, Azua’s economic development.
Scope of the Project
- Reparation of the 32 km of YSURA’s main channel from Villarpando to Tabora.
- Construction of a sedimentation lagoon with a 200,000 m3 capacity for solids-in-suspension control, which would improve irrigation water quality, avoid plumbing abrasions and obstructions in pressurized irrigation networks, and loss of a portion of irrigation channels.
- Construction of 15 regulation lagoons with a storage capacity of 805,100 m3
- Reparation of 58 km of water channels along the sides of the irrigation system YSURA
- Expansion of the YSURA channel towards the Azua’s East of approximately 30 km
- Creation and equipment to improve the well and pump system in the Azua Valley which includes the installation of main and secondary electrical networking as well as system and mechanism automatization to operate de well network
- Rehabilitation and expansion of the irrigation and drainage systems in Pueblo Viejo, this will contribute to resolving the salinity issue in the soil. This includes 598 hectares of pressurized irrigation and 199 hectares in Tramojos. With the drainage system, 1,509 hectares more will be recovered.
- Construction of the lateral grounding in the Rio Grande and Rio Jura
- Improve and update the existing irrigation system in Estebania, Las Charcas, and Hatillo
- Rehabilitation of El Cantil
New Terminal in International Punta Cana Airport (AIPC)
Consorcio Remix is currently involved in the construction of the entire road mobility aspect, taxiway and airplane parking lots, all new ramps and parking lots of light equipment of the new airport terminal in AIPC.
The scope of the project:
- Construction of 7 ramps with a capacity for 5 slim body airplanes made with high resistance paving stones placed over a caliche base stabilized with concrete.
- Access ramps made by land movement, cut, and fill
- Access roads for the new international terminal through land movement and the installation of Mesa walls.
- Parking spaces for light vehicles and buses
International Airport of El Cibao
Complete reconstruction of the airport’s landing strip including the repair and supply of sub-base, base, and layers of asphaltic concrete. Maintenance carried out in 60 uninterrupted calendar days, with the working time of 6 nocturnal hours.
Activities
- Break up the existing asphalt
- Land movement of excavation and drain trap
- Land movement of improvement and sub-base
- Making and stabilizing the base material
- Land movement of base structure
- Supply and completion of base stamp
- Placement of asphaltic concrete pavement.
Rechanneling Detour of Villa González
Due to the sudden collapse of one of the main agricultural irrigation channels in the Dominican Republic, Consorcio Remix participated in the design and construction of 2 simultaneous projects.
The first project was destined to restock water avoiding crop loss in over 31,400 hectares of land. It consisted of the construction of a bypass-like channel to guarantee water supply. This channel was achieved after 24 hours during 7 days of uninterrupted work with over 50 machines and qualified personnel.
Activities
- Debris demolition
- Land movement for cleaning
- Land movement for fill and structure
- Land movement for excavation and outlining
- Waterproof coating with welded geomembrane
The second project included remodeling and expanding the previous channel to give over 20 more years of service in the future. Through the placement of quadruple rectangular sewers with super-sized sectioning and the construction and scoring over the same sewers of the Villa González channel.
Activities
- Land movement for foundation and leveling
- Emptying foundation concrete
- Making of quadruple sewers on-site
- Land movement for fill and structure
- Land movement for excavation and outlining
- Waterproof coating with welded geomembrane
