This project includes the construction of a new 24km stretch to link Las Terrenas and Majagual in the Samaná peninsula and the rehabilitation of 99km of existing roads connecting Nagua, Sánchez, Samaná, El Limón and Las Terrenas.
The objective of the project is to build a path of excellent conditions, with surveillance and value-added services that facilitate the transport of goods and services. The project, whose construction began in 2009, entered into operations in October 2011 and will be operated by the BTA Consortium, made up of two Colombian groups (Grupo Odinsa and Grodco) and a Dominican constructor (Consorcio Remix), which was awarded a concession 30 years on the road.
